Climbing History & Guide To The Okanogan Valley

This site will be an ongoing attempt to document almost 50 years of climbing history in the North Okanogan Valley before it disappears in the echos of time. Check in frequently as we add content.

New Route Information For The Mazama Rocks Crew

Ludus Wall

The first developed wall on the right as you walk south along the McLaughlin Canyon trail. If you reach the giant South facing corner (The Dihedral, 5.9+ trad, get on it if you haven’t done it, area classic), you’ve gone to far.

Directly to the right of The Dihedral are two red tagged projects with fixed draws, and two more routes immediately to the right of those. These are not part of the Ludus Wall and information on these routes will be provided at a later time.

Routes on the Ludus Wall will be listed from left to right, even though you’ll approach them from right to left as you walk in.

The 2 bolt mixed route is not currently included but it’s roughly 5.9+ to access the crack past the two bolts, then gear (not great to be honest) to an anchor. Unsure of grade for full route. I’ll get full info from Dan and add it when he gets back from Mexico.
